More than 400 iRacers celebrating the first balmy weekend of the season in New England by competing in Friday’s Icebreaker 100 at Thompson International Speedway.�� Sim racers from throughout North and South America, Europe and AustralAsia hustled their iRacing Street Stocks around Connecticut?s tricky .625 mile banked bullring in an event that produced 17 splits, an equal number of winners and enough bent virtual sheet metal to keep the virtual bodywork specialists busy until summer. Alan Orton (Eastern Canada) topped Nick Ottinger (Carolina) in the top-rated split but only just, with a margin of victory of .075s and Chris Keogh (Illinois) crossing the line .150s behind the winner.
